SR Manufacturing Engineer (Cable Manufacturing)

About This Role

This senior manufacturing engineering role focuses on leading projects related to cable processing equipment, electromechanical systems, automation, testing, and continuous improvement within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The position involves ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of equipment through maintenance, upgrades, and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, monitor, and maintain installed electromechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance activities on electromechanical equipment as required
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, maintenance activities, repair history, and service schedules
• Utilize hand, power, and pneumatic tools to perform repair and maintenance tasks safely and effectively
• Install and commission new equipment, verifying proper functionality before final approval and release
• Ensure quality inspections and validation checks are completed on all newly installed or modified equipment
• Collaborate with the Engineering team on equipment improvement, maintenance, and repair projects
• Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors to source replacement parts and repair components
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards while performing assigned duties
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and operational excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor

’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar position
• Experience in technical drafting and 3D modeling
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and similar engineering tools
• Strong expertise in cable manufacturing processes and equipment, including:
• Komax
• Schleuniger
• Cirris
• Dynalab
• Electrical Testing
• Hi-Pot Testing
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering diagrams
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills
• Excellent analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
• Good knowledge of various tools, equipment, and their applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities and meet established deadlines and schedules
• Demonstrated knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
