Sr. Manager, Solutions Architecture - Media, Entertainment, Games & Sports

About This Role

This senior manager role leads a Solutions Architecture team that supports one of the largest customers in the Media, Entertainment, Games & Sports (MEGS) sector. It combines deep industry expertise with people leadership to drive customer success and business growth for strategic accounts in the rapidly evolving media and entertainment ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of high-performing Solutions Architects for key MEGS accounts
• Foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive team culture that attracts and retains top talent
• Drive performance management, inclusive hiring practices, and individualized career development plans
• Provide strategic and technical coaching that combines MEGS industry expertise with a customer-obsessed mindset
• Partner with Sales, BD, and account leadership to shape account strategy, identify growth opportunities, and influence multi-year commitments
• Cultivate trusted advisor relationships with customer executives, serving as the senior technical voice in strategic business reviews
• Lead complex engagements across content production, broadcast, streaming, gaming, and sports analytics
• Measure and optimize team performance
• Own the long-term technical vision and multi-year architecture roadmap for flagship accounts
• Influence AWS service roadmaps by translating enterprise customer needs into strategic feature priorities with AWS product teams
• Support executive briefings and technical deep-dive sessions
• Establish training programs focused on customer outcomes
• Identify emerging technology trends (GenAI, immersive media, cloud production) and proactively position AWS capabilities for customer adoption
• Create thought leadership content including whitepapers and case studies
• Present at industry events and customer executive sessions
• Collaborate across AWS teams driving customer success
• Champion AWS's inclusive culture externally through diverse representation at industry events and community engagement

Requirements

• 5+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer-facing resources or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.

Nice to have:

• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
• Experience with AI/ML technologies
• Deep knowledge of Media, Entertainment, Games & Sports industry including content production workflows, live streaming technologies, gaming infrastructure, and sports analytics
