Hiring: Sr Electrical Engineer
Location - Mounds View Minnesota 55112
Duration - 12+ Month Contract
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in circuit debugging, PCBA design/testing, and electronic/mechanical troubleshooting to support prototype hardware development and system-level testing.

- Circuit Debugging – Strong experience troubleshooting and identifying root causes of hardware issues.
- PCBA Design & Test – Experience with PCBA development, board testing, low-level checkout, and functional verification.
- Hands-On Electronic & Mechanical Skills – Proven ability to work directly with prototype hardware, lab equipment, test fixtures, and technicians.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute PCBA/board test plans , including initial board bring-up and checkout.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues, determine root cause , and recommend solutions in collaboration with hardware and cross-functional teams.
- Manage prototype hardware across laboratory and local locations.
- Perform low-level board checkout, including ohmic checks, initial power-on, and register-level testing where applicable.
- Lead and support technicians during initial PCBA testing and troubleshoot failures with technician assistance.
- Ensure hardware rework is performed consistently across systems and direct technicians as needed.
- Manage software/PL installations on systems and PCBAs and support software/system-level testing.
- Develop and test board functions, including ADC/DAC interfaces as needed.
- Assist with EMC test setup , including internal prescreening and external test-house activities.
- Work closely with the PL, Systems, DA, and EE teams to validate hardware interfaces and expected results.
- Design and develop lab test fixtures and test boards to support functional testing.
- Participate in schematic and PCB layout design reviews .
- Help bridge external contract manufacturers/test houses with Systems, DA, and EE teams on prototype and simulator development.
- Support PCBA testing for first-unit builds and prototype hardware.
