We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Sr Associate Director. In This Role You Will
- Lead solution architecture design for DOME initiatives, ensuring solutions are aligned to business requirements, architecture standards, and GPS strategic direction.
- Provide broader GPS solution architecture support beyond DOME where required, including cross-SVS and cross-value-stream engagement.
- Partner with business, technology, operations, and risk stakeholders to shape practical and sustainable solution options.
- Support ASP market priorities and contribute to delivery of ad hoc business initiatives across the region.
- Work closely with delivery and support teams to contribute to incident review, root cause analysis, and remediation recommendations.
- Support risk and control activities, regular audit requests, and governance forums with clear architecture inputs and evidence.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are designed and implemented in line with HSBC standards, controls, and operating expectations.
- Contribute to architecture discussions on hosting, middleware, integration, and modernisation topics across on-premise and cloud environments.
To Be Successful You Will Need
- Strong background in IT solution architecture with the ability to operate as a lead architect in a complex banking environment.
- Solid understanding of Global Payments Solutions products and services, with breadth beyond DOME alone.
- Good understanding of GPS operating model, architecture governance, and relevant FSA-related practices.
- Practical knowledge of legacy GPS applications including COS, ADV, MPP, RMS, ngVAM, APS, FPS, OBS, GPE, SAH, PCC, GLE, GBS, BLG, HSBCnet, Connect. The more the better.
- Knowledge of GPS DOME FSA applications including HSBC Scale, Instant, Link, VAS, GVA.
- Practical knowledge of GPS DOME FSA application – HSBC Link, and local scheme requirements of various markets.
- Strong experience working with business stakeholders and IT stakeholders, with proven networking and relationship-building capability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
- Strong stakeholder management, risk management, and incident management skills.
- Solid understanding of HSBC risk management framework, procedures, and tooling.
- Strong knowledge of HSBC internal governance requirements, including Cybersecurity, External Hosting Committee (EHC), non-functional requirements (NFRs), vendor management, Data VISA, and model risk governance.
- Strong understanding of on-premise and cloud hosting technologies, as well as middleware stacks.
- Working knowledge of generative AI, agentic AI tooling, and prompt engineering.
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment and support multiple priorities across ASP.
- Strong network across ASP GPS business and operations teams.
- Experience building or applying agentic AI tooling in an enterprise environment.
- Prior exposure to payments change, application support, or architecture governance work in a large financial institution.
