About This Role
Creating stunning, photorealistic product renders that elevate the ZAGG and mophie brands is the core of this role. The Sr 3D Artist will thrive in a fast-paced environment, motivated by producing world-class work and setting a new bar with every render.
Responsibilities
- Generate photorealistic, premium-quality images that communicate the value and craftsmanship of ZAGG’s products.
- Overcome production roadblocks by connecting with sources of truth.
- Use modeling software to create or manipulate CAD geometry that is accurate to life and compatible with Keyshot and other 3D software.
- Stay updated on cell phone device manufacturer rumors, leaks, and releases to create/update 3D models.
- Implement Ai technologies to speed up or improve workflow and output.
- Incorporate industry trends into the creative process where relevant.
- Collaborate with the 3D team, photo/video teammates, designers, and others to complete work successfully.
- Maintain backups of all work in an organized storage system.
- Properly tag all uploaded work for easy location and utilization by teams.
- Seek better ways to do things and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in 3D or a related field, preferably in online retail and channel-driven partnerships.
- Expertise in 3D image production requirements for online and channel partners.
- Ability to create concepts to articulate, inform, and validate ideas with stakeholders and channel partners.
- A positive attitude with a passion for 3D artistry and a desire to produce the best work.
- Experience with 3D animation and motion is a plus.
- Strong understanding of design principles, visual storytelling, and brand identity.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in 3D software including Keyshot, Maya, Blender, or similar.
- A degree in fine arts or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional taste, mastery of lighting and materials, and high-end product imagery.
