About the role

Specialty Training Administrator Salary: £36,217 p.a.

Location: Hybrid Working – Remote / London

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About The Role Our client is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Administrator to support Anaesthetists throughout their training journey, from entry into specialty training through to the award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). The role also supports the administration of the College's online training portfolio, helping to ensure that trainees maintain accurate training records throughout their careers.

As a key member of the Training Team, you will provide advice and guidance to trainees, trainers and other stakeholders on a range of specialty training matters. You will work closely with the General Medical Council (GMC), Senior Anaesthetists, College Officers and colleagues across the College to ensure the effective delivery of training processes and support services.

Key tasks and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing information and guidance on anaesthetic specialty training, including Acute Care Common Stem (ACCS) training pathways, and escalating complex queries where appropriate.
  • Processing applications and requests relating to time out of training, including calculating training completion dates and communicating outcomes to trainees and trainers.
  • Delivering first-line support to users of the College's Lifelong Learning Platform (online training portfolio).
  • Supporting College committees and working groups by preparing agendas and papers, coordinating meetings, taking accurate minutes, managing follow-up actions and handling committee correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring administrative processes are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Building effective relationships with trainees, College members and key external stakeholders to provide an excellent customer experience.

About You You will have experience working in a helpdesk and/or customer service environment, alongside proven experience providing administrative and secretarial support to formal committees, including the preparation of agendas and minute-taking.

You will be able to interpret, simplify and communicate complex information clearly and accurately, with the ability to develop and maintain a sound understanding of anaesthetic training regulations and routes to the GMC Register.

Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
