Specialty Corporate Trust Team Manager

About This Role

This team manager role involves leading and guiding a team of Corporate Trust Associate Relationship Managers and/or Relationship Managers. The position also requires close collaboration with senior business leaders to ensure consistent and superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to the Relationship Management team across their corporate trust accounts
• Monitor internal controls to ensure compliance readiness
• Identify, develop, and document potential issues and recommendations
• Facilitate changes in processes/systems
• Be responsible for accurate/timely setup of trust accounts on all systems
• Prepare accounts for compliance review and respond appropriately to compliance exceptions
• Provide oversight and subject knowledge expertise on trust document directives and processes such as note transfers, audit confirmations, and foreign tax reporting and withholding requirements
• Participate in cross-training to learn other Corporate Trust roles and provide support, as needed
• Interview, hire, and train new team members with support from upper management and team members that change roles and responsibilities in the group
• Track workload for the team and make adjustments to account assignments or coordinate team help during spikes and special projects
• Conduct one-on-one and team meetings with direct reports
• Coordinate guidelines and procedures to review and discuss in team meetings
• Gather information and ensure teams are consistent in work product

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• At least seven (7) or more years of relevant experience
