Key Responsibilities Job Description
- Act as the central point of contact for all hardware asset management processes and queries.
- Own and manage the entire hardware asset lifecycle – from procurement to retirement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records in the Asset Management Database (AMDB).
- Coordinate with Procurement, IT Operations, Finance, and other departments to ensure compliance with HAM policies.
- Perform regular audits, reconciliations, and inventory checks to ensure asset data integrity and compliance.
- Analyze asset data to identify trends, opportunities for cost optimization, and process improvements.
- Lead and execute strategic initiatives related to asset tracking, governance, and technology refresh cycles.
- Ensure proper tagging, tracking, allocation, and disposal of all hardware assets.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and corporate policies.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards for stakeholders and leadership.
- Define and continuously improve HAM policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Collaborate with global IT and business teams to align hardware asset management practices.
Qualifications Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Hardware Asset Management or IT Asset Management.
- Strong understanding of IT hardware asset lifecycle and HAM best practices (e.g., ITIL, ISO standards).
- Experience using IT Asset Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SSCM, CMDB ).
- Proven ability to manage inventories, conduct audits, and maintain accurate asset records.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and drive process improvements.
- Experience in managing operations for mid-to-scale organizations is a plus.
