The Behavior and Emotional Support Classroom is designed to support students who exhibit intense behavioral and emotional needs, often affecting their ability to participate in a general education setting. This program is structured to provide individualized interventions and support, focusing on building self-regulation skills, emotional management, and social development. It uses a trauma-informed, strength-based approach to help students feel safe and supported while working toward academic and social success. Individualized support, routine, social-emotional learning, and targeted academic interventions form the foundation for success. A certified special education teacher with SC licensure provides core instruction and supplemental instruction for the students enrolled in this program.
