Spa Receptionist - Part Time

About This Role

Serving as the first point of contact for spa guests, the Spa Receptionist handles greetings, bookings, and basic reception duties. This role is crucial for creating an extraordinary guest experience, maintaining AAA Four Diamond Standards, and exemplifying the hotel's culture of honesty, enthusiasm, integrity, accountability, and passion for service. It suits a professional with excellent communication skills who is passionate about guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
• Accept payment from guests
• Distribute locker keys, spa robes, slippers, etc.
• Complete opening and/or closing tasks
• Give guests a tour of the facilities as required
• Maintain accurate records of locker availability
• Answer questions regarding spa services and retail products (must attend product training)
• Maintain call log at the front desk; call guests prior to appointment to confirm date and time of service
• Maintain strong knowledge of all spa services, including benefits and uses of each
• Use book4time system to book appointments and ring up retail merchandise
• Contact appropriate party if necessary, when a guest problem is reported
• Answer incoming guests calls and transfer appropriately
• Provide general hotel information for guests
• Exemplify the Woodmark Standards of Excellence
• Attend appropriate hotel and departmental meetings
• Maintain guest/client confidentiality
• Resolve guest problems and act in absence of manager
• Maintain records for all VIPs, special requests, etc.
• Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all hotel amenities as well as any special events
• Interact with hotel staff in a professional manner and assist other departments when necessary
• Upsell other hotel services and amenities to guests
• Maintain strong email communication regarding shift changing and client requests, updating internal notes to keep other spa desk members informed
• Accurately follow verbal and written instructions
• Be detail-orientated and able work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Possess excellent listening and communication skills
• Maintain a professional demeanor and attitude; effectively interact with guests and associates, and resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
• Have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
• Maintain constant awareness of safety issues; report all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor
• Act with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment
