Spa Receptionist

About This Role

Providing guests with a warm and inviting welcome to the spa is the primary responsibility of the Spa Receptionist. This role involves offering efficient and courteous services to guests and members, maintaining thorough knowledge of all spa treatments and retail products, and ensuring attention to detail in all guest interactions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a commitment to provide warm, anticipative service to exceed the needs and expectations of discerning guests
• Provide information and literature about the facilities and services in person and via telephone
• Possess knowledge about all aspects of the treatments and the facility to ensure guests are provided with accurate information, and inquiries are responded to with complete details
• Make reservations for spa treatments and personal training sessions
• Ensure that attention to details is accurately maintained with each guest reservation and all guest requirements or issues are clearly stated to ensure smooth service delivery
• Control entry into all areas of the facility by restricting all unauthorized individuals
• Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit and cash-handling policies and procedures
• Maintain inventory of supplies and retail products
• Provide spa tours, when needed
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety regulations
• Report suspicious people, behavior, and vehicles to Hotels Security
• Ensure adherence to Hotels Code of Ethics

Requirements

• Outstanding guest service skills, professional presentation and sophisticated verbal and written communication skills
• Guest-oriented, with a vibrant personality and enthusiasm to assist people
• Proficient in English language (verbal and written) with a second or third language as an asset
• Minimum of two years of experience in the spa industry or hospitality
• Ability to handle cash effectively and accurately with basic accounting
• Computer literacy in Windows, MS Office Suite, Opera PMS system is recommended
