Spa Receptionist

About This Role

Serving guests at either the Ahsi Spa or the award-winning Skana day spa, the Spa Receptionist provides exceptional service by answering phone calls in a timely manner at the front desk. This role also accurately makes reservations for spa services using the appropriate tracking system and maintains general knowledge of all spa products, services, and appointment availability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure phone calls are answered in a timely manner and by the established phone procedures and script
• Always be polite when speaking to guests on the telephone and at the front desk
• Accurately make reservations for spa using the appropriate tracking system
• Input all guest information efficiently and with minimal errors
• Maintain a general knowledge of all spa products, services, and appointment availability
• Maintain full knowledge of all current and upcoming Turning Stone events and promotions and advise guests accurately
• Provide appointment information to guests in a polite and courteous manner
• Consistently encourage retail products and spa/salon services
• Promptly greet guests entering reception area
• Strictly monitor access to restricted areas
• Accurately handle all cash transactions, use correct server numbers, and follow opening and closing procedures
• Handle all money according to Turning Stone standards
• Maintain Forbes Standards as it pertains to guest service, phone etiquette, and front desk interactions

Requirements

• Professional demeanor and ability to dress appropriately to grooming standards
• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• One-year previous receptionist experience
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
• Ability to withstand heat up to 80 degrees for an 8-hour shift; fireplace utilized (Skana)
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ability to speak and understand the English language; must continuously communicate with a degree of professionalism and accuracy
• Written communication skills: ability to read and understand information and records and complete standard forms
• Previous computer experience: computer system is utilized to sell spa packages and appointments; Micros and Spa Concepts
• Mathematical ability; must be able to accurately account for cash drawer
• Ability to multitask essential; multi-phone line, guest interaction
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 11-20 pounds
