Spa Receptionist

About This Role

Working in a spa environment, the Spa Receptionist coordinates and manages reservations and bookings for treatments to maximize revenue. This role involves utilizing strategic selling techniques to increase spa treatment and retail revenues, assisting guests and owners with their arrival and departure experience, and ensuring high-quality guest service and cleanliness throughout the Spa/Health Club. The Spa Receptionist helps deliver a sensory and renewing environment to all owners and guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sell Food and Beverage and Retail items
• Give tours of The Spa
• Issue locker keys, robes, slippers, and towels
• Maintain the weight/exercise room equipment
• Assist with the daily adult and children’s activities
• Maintain a cash bank drawer daily
• Enforce hotel safety standards
• Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager
• File daily reservations and other correspondence
• Maintain a clean and well-organized workstation

Requirements

• Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
• Able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Basic computational ability
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to be persuasive with telephone sales skills
• Knowledge about different packages available
• Able to sit or stand and exert well-paced ability for up to 4 hours in length
• Walking and standing are required
• Able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees
• Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
