Sourcing Engineer | Melaka | Permanent

The Role Hands-on sourcing with real impact:
- Build and nurture relationships with existing and new suppliers across the precision manufacturing supply chain
- Source CNC machined parts, precision components, and related manufacturing materials
- Manage RFQ processes, cost comparisons, and purchase orders through ERP/MRP systems
- Track and report on supplier performance across quality, cost, and delivery metrics
- Support supplier audits and capability assessments
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and supplier optimisation projects
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to resolve supply challenges
What We're Looking For The right mix of technical grounding and procurement know-how:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supplier management
- Hands-on experience procuring CNC machined parts or precision mechanical components
- Familiarity with RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, and ERP/MRP systems
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Experience with China-based suppliers and Mandarin communication skills are an advantage
- A background in precision engineering, optics, automation, or high-tech manufacturing is preferred
