About the role
Role: Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality images for interpretation, ensuring equipment is properly set up, maintained, and operated safely.
Responsibilities
- Adjusts and maneuvers transducers and equipment for routine and complex exams.
- Follows safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment issues.
- Ensures accurate image submission and proper labeling to PACS.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the department.
- Supports regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Completion of a Sonography program; no prior experience required. Must hold a valid sonographer registration such as RDMS (Abdomen or OB/GYN), RVS, or RVT, and BLS certification.
Skills: Attention to detail, technical proficiency with ultrasound equipment, physical stamina for frequent standing, lifting, and patient handling, and strong communication skills.
