Sonographer

About This Role

This role is for an experienced and dynamic Sonographer to join the Medical Imaging Department at Queen Victoria Hospital. It suits a reliable, flexible, and motivated individual interested in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Philips Epiq ultrasound unit
• Perform general ultrasonography, including obstetrics and MSK ultrasound
• Work closely with off-site Radiologists through teleradiography

Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography)
• Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA)
• Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS

• Schedule: rotating day and evening shifts
• Contract: relief full-time (1.0) opportunity until the return of the incumbent
