As part of a growing digital and data function, they are building advanced knowledge management capabilities and modern information architectures. This role will be instrumental in defining how knowledge graph technologies support enterprise search, AI applications, and data-driven decision-making.
The Role
As a Solution Architect / Technical Lead, you will provide technical leadership for the design and implementation of knowledge graph solutions across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and lead the architecture for enterprise-scale knowledge graph platforms
- Work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Design semantic data models, ontologies, and graph-based information architectures
- Lead technical delivery across internal teams and external partners
- Drive best practice in knowledge representation, metadata management, and data governance
- Support the integration of knowledge graphs with AI, machine learning, search, and analytics platforms
- Provide architectural guidance on cloud infrastructure, scalability, security, and performance
- Influence technology strategy and roadmap decisions relating to knowledge and AI capabilities
- Mentor engineers and technical specialists while promoting engineering excellence
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience designing and delivering knowledge graph solutions
- Expertise with graph databases and semantic technologies such as RDF, OWL, SPARQL, or similar frameworks
- Experience developing enterprise data architectures and information management solutions
- Strong understanding of ontology design, taxonomy management, and knowledge representation
- Experience integrating knowledge graphs with AI, NLP, search, or machine learning applications
- Ability to lead technical discussions with both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience working within complex, international enterprise environments
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience in legal, professional services, financial services, or other knowledge-intensive sectors is advantageous but not essential
