About This Role
This role is for a Solutions Architect who will manage the technical evaluation and onboarding process for enterprise customers. You will be responsible for running demos, technical evaluations, and ensuring successful data ingestion and platform training for clients, acting as a critical bridge between sales and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Run demos and technical evaluations, often on the buyer's own data, including discovery with their data team, understanding data movement (warehouse shares, flat files, API), and conducting a match test on their sample
- Run enterprise onboarding, ingesting first-party data, running routine scoring, and getting the customer's team live in the admin dashboard
- Build simple pipelines and transformations needed for onboarding, using SQL and light Python
- Carry the technical side of security reviews with the compliance lead to prevent deal stalls
- Write the playbook for standard onboarding steps, reference setups, and demo environments to facilitate future team member ramp-up
- Bring back feedback on features buyers requested but were unavailable, informing product development about gaps that cost deals
Requirements
- 3+ years in solutions engineering, solutions architecture, customer data onboarding, or technical consulting, ideally at a martech, adtech, CDP, identity, or analytics company, or an agency's data team
- Strong SQL experience, with hands-on work with customer data and the platforms it lives in
- Experience running successful demos for skeptical data teams and onboarding for enterprise customers
- Customer-centric approach, viewing every problem from the customer's perspective first
- Ability to remain calm and clear when presenting to engineers
- Located in New York City or willing to relocate
Nice to have:
- Some data science or data engineering background, sufficient to have opinions about experiment setup
- Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks, and understanding how companies share data from them
- Experience with consumer data, identity resolution, or marketing analytics
- Experience in sports, financial services, or travel industries
Benefits
- Variable bonus targeted at 10% of base
- Meaningful equity
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Unlimited PTO
- Monthly fitness stipend
- Annual company offsite
Important Details
- Work location: in person from the office at 300 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
- Application process: skip the cover letter; walk through one customer onboarding or technical evaluation you ran, detailing the customer's data setup, what you built or checked, what nearly broke it, and how it ended, in a few paragraphs
- Work authorization: authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship considered case by case
