About This Role
This Solutions Architect role involves designing end-to-end technology solutions across various platforms, including cloud, infrastructure, integration, and enterprise systems. The position is within a high-performing architecture practice at a large New Zealand organization, offering the chance to influence technology direction and shape future-state architecture on business-critical initiatives. You will join a collaborative team of nine architects, supporting a major corporate portfolio and influencing solution design across a broad range of enterprise initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end solution architectures across applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and cloud platforms
- Produce high-level and detailed solution designs
- Evaluate solution options, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and define future-state solutions
- Provide architectural leadership through delivery, testing, and operational transition
- Influence technology direction, standards, and governance practices
- Engage with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors
- Design solutions that support highly available, secure, and resilient enterprise environments
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering solution architecture within complex enterprise environments
- Strong experience designing solutions across Azure, infrastructure, networking, SaaS, ERP, and integration domains
- Experience owning architecture decisions and leading solution design from concept through to delivery
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business challenges into technology outcomes
- Able to engage with business stakeholders, influence decisions, and explain the rationale behind a solution
- Experience designing secure, scalable, and resilient solutions
- Curiosity around emerging technologies, including AI and modern cloud capabilities
- Must be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Able to satisfy standard pre-employment background checks required for this position
