About the Role: We are seeking a PV Expert Engineer / Solar Engineer to provide technical review, construction supervision, commissioning support, and performance verification for utility-scale solar PV works under an Owner’s Engineer assignment in Oman. The role requires strong experience in PV plant design review, module and tracker installation, inverter systems, DC/AC collection systems, testing, commissioning, and performance assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review solar PV design deliverables, drawings, calculations, specifications, method statements, inspection plans, and commissioning procedures.
- Supervise PV plant construction activities including module installation, tracker systems, inverter stations, DC/AC collection systems, and related balance-of-plant works.
- Monitor PV installation quality, progress, technical compliance, and interface requirements with electrical, civil, BESS, grid, and commissioning teams.
- Witness inspections, pre-commissioning, start-up tests, reliability runs, and PV performance testing activities.
- Review PV plant performance data, test records, punch lists, non-conformances, and corrective action status.
- Support technical meetings, progress reporting, risk reviews, and project close-out documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in utility-scale solar PV design, construction supervision, commissioning, or technical advisory roles.
- Experience with PV modules, tracker systems, inverters, DC/AC systems, SCADA, and PV performance testing.
- Owner’s Engineer, PMC, LTA, or EPC supervision experience on renewable energy projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of PV quality control, inspection and test plans, commissioning procedures, and performance ratio verification.
- Strong technical reporting, coordination, and site supervision skills.
