Nature-based solutions projects carried out in Colombia have a valuable story to tell and knowledge to share.
SolNatura "Promoting Nature-Based Solutions" is a project carried out in Colombia on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Its purpose is to create local capacities and experiences to promote the application of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and is implemented by a consortium made up of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), The Nature Conservancy (TNC), and Fondo Acción (FA).
Aim
Identify SbN projects that have been carried out in Colombia that have a valuable story to tell and knowledge to share.
What types of projects can apply?
Projects to address social, economic and environmental challenges by conserving, restoring, protecting, sustainably using or managing ecosystems.
The 15 selected projects will be visited and documented through graphic and audiovisual materials that may be disseminated in various spaces, events, and information channels at the local, regional, and national levels.
The collected inputs will contribute to the National NbS Strategy (DNP) and the National NbS Guide (MinAmbiente), and will contribute to knowledge about NbS in Colombia, highlighting good practices, inspiring new initiatives, and strengthening collective work for the care of the territory and the well-being of its inhabitants.
