About This Role
This role supports the testing and validation of custom applications, acting as a key contributor to ensuring software quality across development initiatives. The Software Tester works closely with the development scrum team and business stakeholders to validate requirements, identify defects, and support the delivery of high-quality solutions. This position includes both manual and automated testing responsibilities, with a focus on improving test efficiency and coverage through automation.
Responsibilities
- Perform functional, system, integration, and regression testing for new and existing applications
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases and test scripts to support regression and continuous testing
- Utilize automated testing tools and frameworks to execute test cycles and improve testing efficiency
- Participate in Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring proper validation and resolution
- Support integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
- Perform data validation and support testing of system integrations across enterprise applications
- Assist with test environment setup, test data management, and release validation activities
- Establish priorities and manage assigned testing tasks to meet project timelines
- Apply judgment and problem-solving skills to identify testing gaps and improve overall quality processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated test cases and scripts
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively across technical and business teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced environment
