Software Tester

About This Role

This remote part-time role at Global Opportunities Hub (GOH) involves ensuring the quality and reliability of platform features through comprehensive testing. The Software Tester will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting test cases to deliver a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and document test cases to validate platform features and ensure a reliable user experience
• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing
• Identify defects
• Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to clarify requirements and support timely fixes
• Track test results
• Contribute to quality assurance processes
• Suggest improvements to enhance performance, usability, and accessibility
• Work closely with a distributed team, using online tools to report issues
• Participate in regular reviews of platform releases

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with practical experience in validating web or digital platforms
• Ability to design and maintain clear, structured Test Cases, including test plans and test documentation
• Hands-on experience with Test Execution, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing
• Excellent Analytical Skills to diagnose issues, interpret results, and provide clear, concise defect reports
• Familiarity with bug-tracking or issue-management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, GitHub Issues) is beneficial
• Understanding of basic SDLC and QA processes, and ability to collaborate effectively with remote development teams
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to document findings and communicate technical details in an accessible way
• Relevant education or training in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field is an advantage
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote, mission-driven environment
