About This Role

This software tester role involves ensuring the quality and functionality of banking applications through comprehensive testing. It suits a candidate with a strong background in software testing, particularly within the banking sector, who can contribute to improving testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements
• Develop test plans
• Define test approaches
• Estimate testing efforts
• Prepare test cases, test data, and Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
• Execute manual testing
• Validate application functionality
• Document test results
• Log and report defects
• Perform retesting
• Ensure compliance with testing standards and entry/exit criteria
• Prepare testing progress reports
• Review testing deliverables
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders
• Provide sign-offs
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor

’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

• At least 3 years of software testing experience in banking applications
• Hands-on experience in automated testing, web application testing, and mobile application testing for banking applications
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, and defect logs
• Proficiency in test management and defect tracking
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of non-functional testing (performance, load, usability, and security)
• Experience testing Chatbot and eKYC applications
