Role Software Security Engineering Excellence Lead
6 months contract (B2B contract or Sub-Contract)
Experience: 10-12 years
Responsibilities
- Drive Engineering Excellence initiatives across Software Security platforms and agile teams
- Lead technical delivery engineering standards and software quality improvements
- Design and develop cloudnative security products and services
- Contribute handson code and actively participate in software development activities
- Lead migration from vendorbased platforms to opensource and cloudnative solutions
- Promote engineering best practices automation and platform modernization
- Design and implement scalable solutions using Java Spring Boot Kubernetes and cloud technologies
- Support eventdriven architectures and distributed application development
- Implement Zero Trust Architecture OAuth2 and OpenID Connect security models
- Mentor engineers promote knowledge sharing and build engineering communities
- Drive innovation by evaluating and adopting emerging technologies and engineering practices
- Identify technical risks and deliver secure scalable and maintainable solutions
- Collaborate with architects security teams platform teams and product stakeholders
- Reduce operational toil through automation and engineering efficiency improvements
- Influence engineering strategy and technical direction across multiple teams and functions
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Deep expertise in Java 21 including Virtual Threads Project Loom
- Strong experience with Spring Boot 3x
- Deep understanding of JVM internals and memory management
- Handson experience with Google Cloud Platform GCP
- Experience with GKE Cloud Spanner andor PostgreSQL on GCP
- Strong knowledge of EventDriven Architecture using Kafka or PubSub
- Experience implementing OAuth2 and OpenID Connect
- Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture principles
- Strong software architecture and engineering design capabilities
- Ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions
- Experience leading engineering teams and driving Engineering Excellence initiatives
- Strong mentoring coaching and technical leadership skills
- Experience with automationfirst engineering approaches
- Strong problemsolving and innovation mindset
- Ability to influence technical direction beyond immediate teams
- Experience researching evaluating and adopting new technologies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven expertise in secure software engineering practices
