About the role

  • Before a satellite can be launched into space, it needs to be designed, procured, assembled, and tested
  • The Enterprise systems team builds software and analytics tools to enable the end-to-end engineering that is required to take a satellite design into space
  • Internships at Astranis typically last for twelve weeks, and are hourly roles designed for students who are currently enrolled at a four-year university
  • As an Intern, you will have an amazing opportunity to work on hard problems — we pride ourselves on giving everyone at Astranis a chance to do meaningful work on challenging projects, no matter their seniority
  • Past interns on this team have built software that we still rely on today to procure, test, and manufacture our satellites — and many of them are now full-time engineers at Astranis
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to design, build, and test software that Astranis teams rely on every day to design, test, and manufacture the hardware that powers our satellites
  • Test & Production Infrastructure: Help develop and maintain internal applications that support test operations, scheduling, and production tracking across manufacturing
  • Hardware Design & Supply Chain Tools: Support internal tools used directly by hardware design and supply chain teams to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Self-Serve Automation & Workflows: Build automated workflows using orchestration tools to reduce manual work across teams
