Software Engineer, Factory Software

About This Role

This Software Engineer role focuses on server-side and backend development within a high-performing team. The successful candidate will build scalable software systems that power the manufacturing of innovative products, including vehicles, superchargers, energy storage solutions, and next-generation products. The position suits someone passionate about crafting world-class software, with a proven track record in scalable manufacturing systems, and who thrives in collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code that addresses real-world manufacturing challenges
• Lead end-to-end projects, from gathering requirements and architectural design through implementation, testing, and production deployment
• Prioritize robust, production-critical systems with strong validation, monitoring, and support mechanisms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplychain, and Material flow
• Participate in on-call rotations (no more than once every two months)

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience
• Proven experience implementing large-scale projects in languages like Go, Java/Python, or similar
• Strong understanding of backend development fundamentals, including SQL databases and Kafka technology
• Basic knowledge on AI tools
• Proficiency in rigorous software development practices, including version control, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives from concept to production
