About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data & AI Engineer to join our AI & Data Analytics team. This role involves providing technical leadership across multiple teams, designing and evolving cloud-native applications on AWS, and ensuring the seamless integration of data systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing scalable and secure cloud architectures, building full-stack applications using Python and Java, and mentoring team members. This position requires close collaboration with technical management, product teams, and platform teams to define long-term technical strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud architecture, and software development, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bac+5 in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (preferred)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering and software development
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in production application maintenance and development
  • Proven expertise in relational and analytical databases
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (2-4 years)
  • Experience with Big Data platforms such as Spark, BigQuery, AWS S3, etc.
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow, Luigi, or Azure Data Factory
  • Experience designing real-time data pipelines
  • Proficiency in data quality and validation processes
  • Experience in API design and development
  • Technical skills in Python and Java programming languages
  • Knowledge of streaming architectures and event-driven systems (Kafka, Flink)
  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker
  • Knowledge of Terraform (preferred)
  • Experience with Databricks (preferred)
  • AWS or equivalent cloud certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient AWS cloud systems
  • Develop full-stack applications using Python and Java for backend services
  • Define and enforce engineering standards and best practices across teams
  • Lead architectural decisions regarding compute, storage, networking, and security on cloud platforms
  • Create and maintain REST APIs and event-driven services
  • Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal user experience
  • Conduct code and architecture reviews, providing valuable technical feedback
  • Resolve complex production incidents and perform root cause analyses
  • Contribute to roadmap planning and influence product and technical strategies
  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes tailored to business needs
  • Manage and optimize data stores, data modeling, and multidimensional architectures
  • Develop and improve data quality, validation, and governance practices
  • Support teams in API development, data modeling, and service design
  • Promote a culture of engineering excellence, process improvement, and innovation
  • Communicate effectively in an international environment, ensuring clarity and collaboration
