About the role
Our mortgage industry client is seeking a Software Engineer with experience building AI-powered applications and agentic workflows. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with the Anthropic SDK/API, strong full-stack development skills, and a passion for designing reliable, scalable, and secure AI solutions.
This is a freelance role, 40 hours/week with onsite days T/W/Th. Potential to convert to a full-time employee for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications, services, and agentic workflows.
- Develop and maintain integrations with Anthropic's Claude models and APIs.
- Create, test, and optimize prompts for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Build REST APIs using Python and front-end applications using React/TypeScript.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, Docker-based deployments, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions.
- Implement testing frameworks for both traditional software and AI-driven systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation, including architecture and AI system design.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of software engineering experience, including Python (Flask/Django).
- Hands-on experience with Anthropic SDK/API and Claude Console.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SQL, and relational databases.
- Experience building and troubleshooting AI agents, workflows, or LLM-powered applications.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Interest in emerging AI technologies and best practices.
