About This Role
Designing robust, scalable, and maintainable software systems that support long-term product growth is the core of this role. The Software Architect will define architectural approaches, guide critical technical decisions, and work closely with engineering and product teams to turn business requirements into reliable technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable and maintainable software architectures for complex digital products
- Define system architecture, technology stacks, integration patterns, and technical standards
- Evaluate architectural trade-offs related to scalability, performance, reliability, security, and cost
- Review existing systems and identify opportunities for architectural improvement
- Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation guidelines
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout design and development
- Research and evaluate technologies that can improve platform capabilities
- Define and evolve the technical architecture of software products and platforms
- Ensure architectural decisions support scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability
- Establish engineering standards and architectural best practices
- Guide development teams on complex technical decisions
- Identify and reduce architectural risks and technical debt
- Support the integration of new technologies and platform capabilities
- Maintain alignment between technical architecture and long-term product objectives
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including experience with software or solution architecture
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, databases, and cloud architecture
- Experience designing scalable, high-availability software systems
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Understanding of containerisation, CI/CD, observability, and modern infrastructure practices
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and make well-structured architectural decisions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and business teams
