Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Illinois
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
- Minimum of 3 years related experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and ability to work in diverse weather conditions
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, complete documentation, and collaborate with community resources and emergency personnel
- Knowledge of mental health laws, compliance standards, and mandated reporting
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct crisis assessments and intervene using motivational interviewing and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and community providers during crises
- Follow up with clients through case management and ensure proper documentation
- Provide counseling, resource education, and support to individuals and families
