About This Role

This fixed-term social worker role at Woodlands Family Centre in West Essex focuses on high-quality assessment and interventions with children and their families. Responsibilities

• Undertake high-quality assessment and interventions with children and their families
• Conduct interventions on a one-to-one basis or within groups
• Support children and their families to achieve positive change and improved outcomes
• Deliver sensitive, supportive, and inspiring social work practice
• Adhere to the highest standards of practice and established policies and procedures

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent
• Registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker
• Demonstrable capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards (e.g., Professional Capability Framework (PCF), Knowledge & Skills Statement (KSS))
• Case recording experience
• Demonstrate ability in the application of social work knowledge, using emotional intelligence, analytical skills, and acting with confidence in challenging social and family situations
• Good working knowledge and ability to use information technology and related systems (e.g., Word, social work case recording systems)
• At least 2 years post qualifying experience
• Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Required to work flexibly as needed, including evenings and weekends if necessary
• Driving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means is essential
• Register with the DBS update service if your role requires a DBS check
