About This Role
Supporting the company's blog with publish-ready drafts and maintaining a consistent brand presence across social media platforms is the main focus of this role. It suits a Social Media Content Specialist who can transform ideas and insights into engaging reels, posts, and articles, and who is proficient in organic social media and WordPress.
Responsibilities
- Create and publish daily organic content on Facebook and Instagram based on weekly direction
- Turn ideas and raw material into engaging posts, graphics, and short-form reels
- Launch and grow additional platforms such as Pinterest and Reddit
- Research platform trends and share what is performing to steer weekly content planning
- Write first drafts of blog articles from provided titles, outlines, and firsthand insights
- Source suitable images from stock photo libraries and internal content
- Format and upload finished drafts in WordPress, ready for final editing
- Keep a consistent posting and publishing schedule
Requirements
- Proven experience managing organic social media on Facebook and Instagram
- Experience creating reels and short-form video content
- Hands-on experience with WordPress, including formatting and publishing posts
- Strong grasp of English grammar and the ability to distinguish strong writing from weak
- Ability to follow an outline and weave firsthand insights into a draft
- Experience sourcing images from stock photo platforms
- Observant, organized, and independent
- Strong communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with Pinterest and Reddit
- Experience in the travel, hospitality, or lifestyle niche
- Proficiency with Canva, CapCut, or similar design and video editing tools
- Basic understanding of SEO and blog optimization
- Capable of keeping several content streams under control at once
- Ability to suggest content ideas beyond the direction given
