At Social (E)xpat, community is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a confident, highly organised, and proactive Community Coordinator to manage, support, and scale our network of local community hosts (Mavericks) across multiple international cities.
(Please note: This is a dedicated back-office management and operational coordination role. You will be the operational backbone that keeps our local leads empowered—this role does NOT involve hosting events on the ground.)
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Training: Actively interview, hire, onboard, and train new local community leads (Mavericks).
- Operational & Venue Support: Assist local teams with venue sourcing, venue bookings, and logistical setups.
- Community Leadership & Engagement: Act as the primary "glue" for remote teams—holding monthly Maverick planning meetings, providing ongoing guidance, and ensuring team alignment.
- Process & Bottleneck Management: Multitask under fast-paced pressure to resolve operational delays and keep community processes moving smoothly.
- Admin & Metrics Tracking: Monitor community attendance metrics and process team expense reimbursements accurately and on time.
About You
- Experience: Background in Community Coordination, Recruitment, Event Logistics, or Public Relations (1–3 years experience).
- Communication: Business fluent in written and spoken English with strong cross-cultural communication skills.
- Key Traits: High confidence, emotionally intelligent, and able to remain calm and organized under pressure.
- Operational Mindset: Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting remote teams.
- Passion: Excited about building structured systems that empower local leaders to create fun, inclusive spaces.
