About This Role
This coaching role with a community-based soccer club focuses on providing a high-quality, competitive, and positive experience for players, with an emphasis on development. The position involves teaching and developing soccer players from beginner to elite levels, while embodying the club's core values.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a role model for players while providing a safe environment for their growth
- Embody the E.L.I.T.E. core values (Effort, Learning, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence)
- Implement the club’s technical plan and curriculum for the team in regards to player development, including developing written training plans as needed for all training sessions
- Attend and lead 2-3 practices a week along with all league games and 1-4 tournaments a season as required by the club’s technical plan for the specific age group and team assignment
- Communicate with other coaches in the respective age group and the Director of Coaching regarding progress of players’ development and related coaching considerations within the age group
- Complete a weekly Online Coach Check Form
- Fill out 2 player feedback forms for each player for the year-end of the fall and end of the winter
- Comply with all Elite policies and procedures, including attendance at required coaching meetings, seminars, and meetings as required by the Director of Coaching
- Utilize additional coaching and earning opportunities available
Requirements
- Ability to manage, develop, and motivate youth soccer players consistent with the club’s technical direction and the standards set forth by Positive Coaching Alliance
- Advanced level of certification (virtually all coaching staff possess this)
- Sound organizational and interpersonal communications skills necessary for interaction with players and their families
- USSF National Coaching License, NSCAA
