SOC Analyst, Level 2

About This Role

This SOC Analyst role involves working as a Level 2 analyst, focusing on the analysis, investigation, and response to cybersecurity incidents. The position is suitable for a professional with a solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and experience with various security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, investigate, and respond to incidents at Level 2
• Work with SIEM, EDR/XDR technologies, and security monitoring platforms
• Apply knowledge of threat hunting, MITRE ATT&CK, and detection techniques
• Utilize solid knowledge of networks, systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals
• Work independently and resolve incidents

Requirements

• 2 -3 years of experience in cybersecurity and/or SOC
• Degree in Computer Science, Systems, Telecommunications, or Cybersecurity

Nice to have:

• Microsoft Security technologies: Sentinel, Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Entra ID, and KQL
• Other equivalent technologies: Splunk, QRadar, Elastic, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Sophos, Palo Alto, etc.
• PowerShell, Python, SOAR, and automation

Preferred certifications:

• CompTIA Security+ / CySA+
• Cisco CyberOps / CCNA
• Microsoft SC-200 and other Microsoft Security/Azure certifications
• Vendor certifications: Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, CrowdStrike, etc.
• Other cybersecurity certifications such as eJPT, GIAC/SANS, CISSP, or CISM
