Job Description Join Our Team as a SME, QA Expert – Uppsala, Sweden Are you a seasoned quality assurance professional with a passion for advancing pharmaceutical standards? We are seeking highly experienced Subject Matter Experts in QA to play a pivotal role in a transformative project based in Uppsala, Sweden. This is an outstanding opportunity to leverage your expertise in a dynamic environment dedicated to transitioning a leading cosmetic manufacturer into the pharmaceutical realm, ensuring compliance and excellence at every step.

Role Overview As a SME, QA Expert, you will be at the forefront of supporting process improvement, validation, and compliance efforts within a fast-paced, innovative setting. Working closely with laboratory teams and cross-functional stakeholders, you will help shape the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing by bridging knowledge gaps and driving quality excellence in a critical transition phase. This contract position offers a fully on-site working environment, with an initial duration of four months, and the potential for extension.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries
  • Deep knowledge of GMP, sterile processes, and facility compliance standards
  • Proven expertise in quality control and laboratory process optimization
  • Strong understanding of FDA regulations and quality standards
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Swedish is a plus but not essential
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience working with cosmetic manufacturers transitioning to pharmaceutical production
  • Familiarity with FDA inspection procedures and audit readiness
  • Knowledge of sterile manufacturing techniques and facility validation
  • Previous experience supporting regulatory body interactions or transitions

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related fields
  • A minimum of 7+ years in senior QA roles within regulated environments
  • Demonstrated track record supporting compliance and quality standards in complex manufacturing settings

Other Requirements

  • Located in or willing to be on-site in Uppsala with minimal remote work
  • Able to start immediately or within a short notice period
  • Willing to participate in project meetings and certain travel if needed
