About the role
Under the supervision of the Sleep Center Director and Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, this individual will be responsible for providing support for the daily operation of the Sleep Center clinical services. The ideal candidate will be bilingual, polished and professional and have previous experience in a medical discipline such as respiratory therapy or sleep disorder medicine. The Assistant will need skills essential for running a clinic, interacting directly with patients and caregivers and communicating care plans for sleep disorders.
Required:
- High School Diploma, with strong science background
- Demonstrate clinical competence to provide care appropriate to age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit
- Demonstrate ability to communicate in written and verbal fashion
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Proven organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Work and/or educational experience that promoted group/team working relationships
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Familiarity with medical insurance regulations a plus.
