Site Reliability Engineer - Infrastructure

About This Role

This Site Reliability Engineer role focuses on the infrastructure systems, including storage, computing, and databases. The team aims to be a leading SRE team in the industry, managing complex challenges of scale using expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale system design. The role encourages ownership, self-governance, and independence, with support and mentorship for growth.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability and efficiency of core infrastructure, focusing on system capacity and stability
• Set up reliability standards and recovery SOPs
• Troubleshoot and locate technical issues, perform bottleneck analysis, and manage system high availability architecture transformation and upgrading
• Build automated operation solutions for large-scale systems
• Partner with system development teams for system iteration
• Design and implement software platforms and monitoring frameworks for efficient, automated, and intelligent service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance
• Build delivery standards, and monitor and budget systems to optimize company costs for millions of CPUs
• Design and set up new IDCs
• Design and implement a data protection plan to meet standard requirements

Requirements

• Solid basic knowledge of computer software
• Understanding of Linux operating system, storage, network IO, and related principles
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages, such as Python, Go, and Java
• Knowledge of design patterns and coding principles

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science or related major
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with storage systems and technologies such as KV, Table, Graph, Redis, MySQL, MongoDB, MQ, and Kafka
• Experience with computing & big data systems and technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker/Containers, AIops, Spark, Flink, Function as a service, RPC Framework, and Service Mesh
