This Site Reliability Engineer role focuses on ensuring highly reliable, secure, and scalable application platforms. The engineer will apply SRE practices to cloud-native systems built on AWS, Kubernetes, and Springboot microservices using Java, with a strong emphasis on observability, performance optimization, and incident prevention in complex hybrid environments.
Responsibilities
Design and implement highly available and resilient application infrastructure on AWS to ensure business-critical services run reliably and efficiently across hybrid environments
Optimize Kubernetes-based container platforms by tuning resource usage, scaling strategies, and deployment pipelines to maintain consistent performance under varying workloads
Develop and enhance Springboot microservices in Java to improve reliability, modularity, and fault tolerance while aligning with best practices for cloud-native architectures
Create and maintain SRE-focused monitoring and alerting strategies using Splunk to provide deep visibility into application health, latency, errors, and capacity trends
Apply SRE principles such as error budgets, service level indicators, and service level objectives to guide reliability decisions and balance innovation with stability
Conduct detailed root cause analysis for production incidents and implement robust corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve overall system resilience
Collaborate with application engineers and platform teams to design scalable release strategies that reduce deployment risk and improve change success rates in day shift operations
Automate routine operational tasks including deployments, rollbacks, configuration updates, and health checks to reduce manual effort and improve consistency
Implement capacity planning and performance testing strategies to ensure systems meet growth expectations and maintain optimal response times for end users
Document runbooks, operational procedures, and reliability patterns to support consistent incident response and knowledge sharing across global teams
Partner with stakeholders supporting asset and wealth management processes to understand domain-specific reliability needs and translate them into technical solutions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing reliability metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing targeted enhancements that support organizational goals
Ensure security, compliance, and governance requirements are integrated into SRE workflows so platforms remain protected while delivering dependable services
