About This Role
This role focuses on developing and maintaining distinctive online e-commerce stores on the Shopify platform from start to finish. It involves creating unique and appealing user interfaces, custom themes, and features, and integrating third-party services.
Responsibilities
- Develop e-commerce websites following industry best practices
- Focus on UI/UX criteria to build a unique and appealing user interface
- Replace existing themes by designing custom themes as per criteria
- Develop custom features for existing websites
- Migrate e-commerce stores to the Shopify platform
- Integrate third-party services and apps for extra functionality
- Conduct regular testing and maintenance to enhance performance
- Keep up to date on modern tech tools and trends related to Shopify
Requirements
- Awareness of e-commerce web workflow
- In-depth understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Proven understanding of Liquid templating language
- Proficient in diverse programming languages
- Knowledge of Version Control for Shopify theme development
- Knowledge of PHP scripting, JSON REST API, and Google Analytics
- Expertise in jQuery, vanilla JavaScript, ES2015/ES6, and other trending JS frameworks
- Proficient in working with third-party services and APIs
- Expertise to create custom themes
- Understanding of SEO and marketing tools
- Ability to execute projects before deadlines
- Self-motivated and fluent in communication to collaborate with the team
- BE/B-Tech (CE/IT), BCA, B Sc. (IT)
- ME/M-Tech (CE/IT), MCA, M Sc. (IT)
- Any graduate, post-graduate, or diploma degree holder with excellent knowledge of Computer Science or Information Technology
Nice to have:
- Specialization in other E-commerce platforms, like Magento, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce
