About This Role
This role is for a Shopify Developer to join a growing beauty and cosmetics company, focusing on the development, maintenance, and optimization of its e-commerce website. The developer will work with e-commerce, marketing, and design teams to ensure the Shopify store is functional, responsive, visually appealing, and optimized for a great customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain the Shopify website
- Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Build and update Shopify pages, sections, templates, and landing pages
- Install, configure, and manage Shopify apps and third-party integrations
- Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs and technical issues
- Optimize website speed, performance, and mobile responsiveness
- Ensure the website works properly across different browsers and devices
- Support technical SEO and basic conversion optimization
- Manage and update website features, navigation, collections, and product pages when required
- Collaborate with Marketing and Design teams to implement campaigns and website updates
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve website functionality and user experience
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer or in a similar e-commerce development role
- Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with Shopify theme customization and development
- Experience working with Shopify apps and third-party integrations
- Good understanding of responsive web design
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- A portfolio or examples of previous Shopify development work is required
Nice to have:
- Shopify 2.0 experience
- Basic knowledge of Shopify APIs and webhooks
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or Meta Pixel
- Experience working with beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or D2C e-commerce brands
