Join our dynamic retail team as a Shop Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a welcoming environment for customers and ensure smooth store operations. In this role, you’ll be the friendly face that assists shoppers, maintains a clean and organized store, and provides exceptional customer service. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and offer assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Provide knowledgeable support on products, promotions, and store layout to guide purchasing decisions
- Maintain cleanliness of the store by sweeping, dusting, and organizing shelves regularly
- Restock shelves efficiently to ensure products are available and well-presented
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with a positive attitude
- Operate cash registers accurately and process transactions efficiently
- Assist with stock management, inventory checks, and store displays to keep the store inviting and organized
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks diligently to uphold store standards
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist customers and team members
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and inventory counts
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
