Shipping and Receiving Clerk

About This Role

This shipping and receiving clerk role is critical for ensuring that the medical laboratory operates at peak capacity by facilitating pickups and deliveries of materials. The position involves managing incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing supplies, and assisting various departments with logistics.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries from UPS, USPS, FedEx, and other delivery providers
• Distribute received materials to appropriate departments and/or personnel
• Prepare shipments for delivery
• Prepare kits and vials necessary for supply orders
• Print requisition forms
• Conduct monthly inventory of requisition forms and kit supplies
• Assist reception and Sales Representatives with questions regarding clients and supplies
• Dispose of cardboard and various other debris
• Assist service vendors
• Change or fix lighting in the building
• Carry out other projects and/or duties that may be assigned occasionally

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or on a team
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods
