Shipping and Receiving Clerk

About This Role

This role involves managing the flow of goods for a family-owned RV dealership, from receiving and inspecting incoming items to organizing the retail parts area and handling shipments. The position suits an organized individual with strong customer service skills who can assist customers and maintain inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming items, checking items for damage and order accuracy
• Process returns and replacements of defected parts, reporting as needed
• Perform general housekeeping duties, which involves organizing the receiving area, retail parts area and general cleaning
• Maintain filing system for special orders
• Order and maintain parts for retail items
• Facilitate inventory transfers as needed
• Check in and ship out freight shipments
• Provide assistance to customers, which involves answering telephone inquiries, checking stock items, locating items, and cashing out customers
• Perform and assist in cycle counts and physical inventory
• Utilize various hand tools in the performance of duties
• Operate a forklift and telephone
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

• Ability to lift over 50lbs
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Maintain safe and clean work environment
• Superior customer service skills
• Working knowledge of computer operations
