Shipping and Receiving Clerk

About This Role

This shipping and receiving clerk position requires a well-organized and motivated individual to manage the logistics of a mid-volume quantity of items entering and leaving the facility. The role involves overseeing and documenting all incoming and outgoing goods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and document the receiving of packages, parcels, and supplies
• Inspect goods received for damage
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated area
• Process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items
• Prepare product for shipment
• Pack and weigh items to be shipped
• Print shipping labels and postage
• Track packaging inventory and report any shortages to the sales team
• Contact carriers and schedule shipping for each package
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with other employees
• Self-starter who pays attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills
