Shipping and Receiving Clerk

About This Role

This role is for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk who will act as an accuracy checkpoint for all items entering and leaving the warehouse. The position involves verifying deliveries, recording receipts, documenting discrepancies, and preparing outbound shipments and their associated paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Offload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing documents
• Record receipts in Navy ERP in real time
• Prepare and maintain receiving files, bills of lading, material movement forms, and monthly shipment logs
• Research unidentified or frustrated material
• Support transportation, supply, and product quality discrepancy reports
• Prepare outbound shipping documents (DD Form 1149, DD Form 1348-1)
• Weigh and palletize material
• Coordinate carrier pickups
• Deliver material to customers and obtain signatures
• Track delinquent deliveries and follow up

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship
• Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one
• Must be eligible for a Tier 3 background investigation before system access
• 1+ year of shipping, receiving, logistics, or inventory experience
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• DoD HAZMAT shipping (DTR 4500.9-R) training
• Experience with Navy ERP, SAP, or another WMS
• Familiarity with DoD shipping documents
