Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Shift Manager to lead our retail team through daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient store management, and smooth shift execution. As a pivotal member of our management team, you will oversee sales activities, supervise staff, manage inventory, and uphold store standards. Duties
- Supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Lead, motivate, and manage retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service and meet sales targets
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, ordering, and stock control to optimize product availability
- Handle cash transactions, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and product knowledge
- Manage scheduling, payroll processing, and bookkeeping activities to ensure operational efficiency
- Implement merchandising strategies and pricing adjustments to maximize sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and operational procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry sales team management environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a diverse team effectively
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in managerial communication and phone etiquette
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, recruiting, interviewing, and employee orientation processes
- Knowledge of POS systems, inventory control, purchasing, and basic math for retail math calculations
- Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling procedures
- Familiarity with grocery store or wireless sales environments is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to lead by example in customer service excellence and operational management

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
