Sheet Metal Worker

About This Role

This role as a Sheet Metal Worker at Amundson Roofing involves cutting, shaping, assembling, and inspecting sheet metal components for roofing ventures. You will ensure each piece meets strict quality standards and specifications, supporting the creation of durable, high-quality products. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced machinery and innovative fabrication techniques in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC equipment (a plus)
• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as press brakes, soldering and welding tools to assemble and modify sheet metal parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to guide fabrication and assembly tasks
• Operate forklifts and machinery safely for material handling and movement within the workspace
• Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols related to electrical discharge machining, tooling use, and machinery operation

Requirements

• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication processes including brakes, soldering and welding techniques (a plus)
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation
• Experience with hand tools, tooling setup, assembly processes, and fabrication techniques in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift handling and general machinery safety standards
• Eagerness to learn and grow your skills
• High School Diploma, Certifications, etc. (a plus)
