About the role
Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow ITOM modules including:
Discovery
Service Mapping
Event Management
Orchestration
CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
Configure and maintain MID Servers, Discovery schedules, and patterns.
Implement and manage Service Mapping for business services and applications.
Integrate ServiceNow with third-party monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Splunk).
Work on Event Management including alert correlation, event rules, and dashboards.
Ensure CMDB health by managing:
Data normalization
Data reconciliation
CI relationships
Develop workflows, business rules, and scripts using:
JavaScript
Glide APIs
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ITOM modules.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ITSM, SecOps, DevOps).
Participate in upgrades, patching, and platform enhancements.
Required Skills:
Strong experience in ServiceNow ITOM modules
Hands-on with:
Discovery & Service Mapping
CMDB & CSDM model
Event Management
Knowledge of:
REST/SOAP integrations
MID Server setup and troubleshooting
Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure preferred)
Good scripting skills in JavaScript
Understanding of ITIL processes
Preferred Qualifications:
ServiceNow Certifications:
Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Certified Implementation Specialist ITOM
Experience with:
Cloud Discovery
Kubernetes / Containers
Automation & orchestration tools
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and stakeholder management
Ability to work independently and in a team
Nice to Have:
Exposure to DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git)
Knowledge of AIOps / Predictive Intelligence
Experience in large enterprise environments
